The heart of the AXING IPTVSolution is the middleware. The hotel staff process all activities and the content provided for customers in the middleware via the web-based Content Management System (CMS). Here, for example, the food and drink menus of the bar and restaurant are maintained, offers for the hotel sauna are posted or possible activities are presented.
The middleware also exchanges data (e.g. name and language of the guest) via a defined interface with the PMS (Property Management System). This allows the guest to be greeted in e.g. his language or TV programmes can be displayed in his language for selection.
The AXING IPTV middleware can be expanded by a Digital Signage system. The term Digital Signage stands for digital communication via displays or monitors. It can be used for e.g. hotel information or advertisement. The advantage of such a system is to provide up-to-date and target oriented information to your customers. The AXING Digital Signage system guarantees an easy, elegant and flexible way to display several information in a prescribed design with different display separation possibilities.
With the central AppleTV® solution, hotel guests can access the TV in their hotel room via AirPlay™ (e.g. with the iPhone®). Images, videos and content can be streamed directly on the TV set.
The trick is that neither the AppleTV® set-top box has to be in the hotel room, nor do AppleTV® set-top boxes have to be purchased for each room. The access for the guest is via the hotel’s own WiFi. The data stream to the TV set is managed by the AXING IPTVSolution middleware server.
