Equipotential bonding is always required for systems for cable or satellite television and for terrestrial television. It ensures that potential differences between the touchable metal components, other conductive parts and electrical devices are avoided and that voltage differences between the two ends of the cable do not cause dangerous contact voltages when the active components are removed. Potential equalisation and earthing of antenna cables is easily achieved using AXING earthing blocks or AXING earthing angles.
